
Jess Tucker Boyd is a freelance Movement Director, Actor, Playwright, Intimacy Coordinator, and Co-Artistic Director of eye2eye collective, which she runs alongside Trilby James. She trained at East 15 Acting School (BA Acting & Contemporary Theatre) and holds an MA in Movement Directing and Teaching from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Jess is also a Movement Lecturer at the University of West London.
Her Movement Directing work spans some of the UK’s leading venues, including Shakespeare’s Globe (Hakawatis), Soho Theatre (My English Persian Kitchen), Arcola Theatre (Surrender, Bangers), Trafalgar Studios (BU21, Coming Clean), and The Bush Theatre (Come Inside). Her choreography blends text, physicality, and ensemble storytelling to create dynamic, embodied work for stage and screen.
As an Intimacy Coordinator, Jess has worked on high-profile productions such as I Hate Suzy (Bad Wolf/Sky Vision), Dangerous Liaisons (Playground), The Winter King (Bad Wolf), and Bacon (One Day/Drama Republic), as well as theatre productions including Faustus: That Damned Woman (Lyric Hammersmith) and Missing Julie (Theatre Clwyd).
Jess began writing for stage in 2019. Her debut play A Deprivation Just & Wise (to punish her for telling lies) received R&D support at Actors East in 2023 and has since been programmed to run as a full production at The Arcola Theatre in February 2026. Her second play, Touch Me Liquid Crystal, is part of a trilogy exploring technology, intimacy, and human connection. She is currently being mentored by the Royal Court on the Intro to Playwrighting Group 2025 to develop the third play in the series, Synthetic Expressions of Love & Violence.
